Frederick William Schroeder IV is from Bergen County, New Jersey. He studied Studio Art and Creative Writing as an undergraduate at Bucknell University. Utilizing his areas of study, he looks to create a body of work that incorporates a strong sense of narrative with unique aesthetic values. Frederick draws inspiration from the twentieth-century Fauvist movement and innovative applications of found objects in contemporary art. Through the use of paint and mixed media, he seeks to nurture a style that is energetic in its use of color and lines. He uses the “IV Strokes” to create images that retain the essence of their subject even in their abstraction.
